Silverlink Software’s PCS PAS solution’s integrated support for Child Protection Information Sharing (CP-IS) is now live in its first site at Moorfields Eye Hospital after gaining HSCIC accreditation.
CP-IS is a nationwide information sharing solution that aims to improve the way health and social care services work together across England to protect vulnerable children. CP-IS enables the exchange of essential child protection information between local authorities and NHS Trusts, enabling the involved agencies to make better informed clinical assessments and decisions about the child’s care.
All NHS urgent care settings, including Emergency Departments and Paediatric Wards, in England are required to implement links to the national CP-IS system before March 2018. Silverlink’s PCS PAS solution has gone live successfully at our first site and this capability will be made available to all our PCS users over the coming months.
On Silverlink’s first CP-IS site going live, PCS Product Manager at Silverlink, Gary Mordue, said: “CP-IS plays a vital role in cross-agency collaboration in preventing the harmful escalation of neglect and abuse of vulnerable children. Support for CP-IS in Silverlink’s flagship PCS PAS solution will help front-line staff make better informed decisions to identify emerging problems to help these children get the support and care they need as quickly as possible.”
